Stony Creek Swimming Area – Byfield State Forest


Yeppoon, Central Queensland, is a sunny coastal town approximately 40 kilometres east of Rockhampton, and 700 kilometres north of Brisbanes. With a population of 13,500 people, its easy to meet a friend in the street or on one of the many beautiful beaches around Yeppoon or the Capricorn Coast.

Just off the coast are the Keppel group of islands, which include Great Keppel, a large tourist destination, North Keppel, which is a National Park as well as a Queensland Education centre, and Humpy Island, a small national park just south of Great Keppel.
