The roadworks are coming closer and closer to our place, because the council has re-tarred and widened the existing road up to the point where it is supposed to change course. At the moment, the road comes down from the north then turns to the left. The new road will continue straight ahead. See the photo below to find out what I mean.
The photos below show the new tar and enhancements to the road. I dirtied my fingers a bit because the tar covering at the edge of the roads is so soft that I can make fingerprints in it (see the top-right corner of the close-up photo).
